Karl Ottosen, Bob Britz, and Brian O’Connor spoke at the Illinois Association of Fire Protection District’s Administrative Training Session held at Byron Fire Protection District on Saturday, March 15th. Topics covered in their presentation included: a review of recent legislation; fire district budget and levy highlights; a review of TIF/Enterprise Zone issues; and firefighter benefits. In addition, updates on court rulings, the Equal Employment and Opportunity Commission, and code enforcement were discussed.
